Great question, Scott. Our original outdoor cleaner provides a fast, easy clean that you can start to see working in 30 Seconds, hence the name. Cheers!

Why do you call your product 30seconds?

Hi Tom,
It depends on the material. If the mesh is coated and not bare metal then you are good to go. Make sure you rinse the soap off thoroughly, especially off of glass.

Is this product safe for porch screens??

Hi Lisa
That is a great question because it does seem to be a contradiction.
Here’s the scoop…
Our label must meet labeling criteria, in order to make statements on it.
The criteria for ‘phosphate free’ or ‘no phosphate’ is that it must have less than 0.5% by weight expressed as phosphorous. This is true for almost all the states, except for a few that have even tighter parameters.
However, our formula falls well below any of the state’s requirements, which is why it is stated on the label.
Thanks for your interest.

I have a question. The ingredients state that 30 Second Cleaner is “Phosphate Free” but one of the main ingredients is Trisodium Phosphate (TSP).

Please advise. Thanks!!

I found this product to be USELESS. I used it as instructed, diluting it 1:1 with water and spraying it on my Trex deck, patio, and wood trim. IT did nothing!!!! I easily cleaned all of the items with my pressure washer. The areas that I did not treat with the 30 second cleaner were as easy to clean as the treated ones. All this stuff is is a weak dilution of common bleach. Save your money and use regular household bleach!!!

In a short answer. No. There are too many variables; the type of waxy finish, whether the rubber seals get brittle, whether there is exposed metal that could potentially rust faster, etc. so we do not recommend it.
However, to be honest, we have had customers that don’t care because the vehicle has been sitting for so long, exposed to the weather and covered with stains from algae, mold and mildew, they felt they had nothing to lose. But, we still don’t recommend it.

Is it safe to use on the outside of a car?

Hi Mike
We totally get your comments on the environmental impact.
We know all the 50 states’ minimum allowances of phosphates and are well below the most strict state, New York.
We even go further and make our 30 SECONDS Outdoor Cleaner with 70% less NaCl, or salts. This is also becoming an environmental issue, particularly in California. And in our state, Oregon, we have chosen not to salt the roads in snow and icy weather to avoid that environmental impact too.
When 30 SECONDS Outdoor Cleaner, is used as directed, and rinsed into the soil, it does not harm plants, pets and lawns. This is the main feature, that makes it so popular for decks, steps and driveways, where everyone has lovely landscaping, color and lawns.

Being near bodies of water that are declining due to phosphates and nitrogen, I just have concerns about how this product impacts on the environment. Would you consider your product pet, people, plant, and Eco friendly when used properly consistent with the labeling?

Since we have been in business since 1977, we have learned to love being transparent. And Scott’s comment allows us to be exactly that. This will be a delightful topic for my next blog with advice, customer before and after pictures, and a little tidbit about the composite decking industry.
