A Tribute to Al

As the developer of our original product, 30 SECONDS Outdoor Cleaner, Al Goetz was a colleague and friend to everyone at COLLIER Mfg. Al passed away December 11th at home just after decorating the house for the holidays. Al enjoyed working on home improvement projects and always liked to have a new task on hand.

Born in Baltimore, Alan Conrad Goetz lived there until he was 10 and then moved to San Diego with his family.  He stayed in Southern California and attended San Diego State where he met his wife Bettianne Moore. The couple loved to travel and while teaching in Hawaii, and later Guam, they would travel the world during their long summer vacations.

During his life he earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, built homes and started his own business where he created several products, including 30 SECONDS Outdoor Cleaner. He continued to run his company until he sold it to his daughter, Jill and her husband James Collier in 2000.

Al and Bettianne never preferred a quiet retirement. Traveling with Rotary's International Friendship Exchange, helping other entrepreneurs at SCORE and seeing all the US back-roads in their RV, were only a few of their adventures.

We celebrate the man that was appreciated for his bright, authentic character and straight forward approach to life. A toast to the man who created a legacy and to a person who left an outstanding impression on those around him.
