Being located in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve had our fair share of rainstorms, so when we heard that Louisiana was under attack again from Mother Nature, we wondered what we could do to help. With the flood waters affecting people in 20 parishes, we knew making a noticeable difference was going to be rough. So we contacted Volunteer Louisiana and donated to both St. Vincent DePaul and the Salvation Army, hoping to help ease the burden of our Southern brothers and sisters, but could feel it was just a drop in the bucket.
Then the United Southern Express Track Club was brought to our attention. The US Express Track Club is a non-profit organization helping youths and adults to improve their lives through track and field events. The historic floods of 2016 affected athletes and coaches alike. Over 50 of the participants with US Express, it seems, have been directly affected by the floods, and this, we knew, was our chance to help make a difference.
Fast forward a few weeks, and the cleanup efforts in Louisiana have begun in earnest. When it comes to cleaning stains from mold, mildew and algae, we knew we could really help! COLLIER Mfg quickly loaded up a pallet of our 30 SECONDS Outdoor Cleaner as well as some tank sprayers, and sent it all down to Baton Rouge. Recently each of the United Southern Express Track Club families have received gallons of our Outdoor Cleaner and a tank sprayer to make their cleanup even easier.
We know that 30 SECONDS Outdoor Cleaner can help clean up the stains from mold, mildew, and algae, which will run rampant on their homes in the aftermath of the flooding. We were so delighted when Coach Byron sent his kind message on Facebook thanking us for the product.
One of the joys of being a local company with a national presence is the ability to quickly step up when we see the chance to make a difference, and it was our pleasure to extend a helping hand to the United Southern Express Track Club. If you would like to learn more about the team, or to make a donation of your own, you can find them at https://www.usexpresstrackclub.org/ . We know they would appreciate your support.
